Memo: New Program of The Chabad House - Kosher Services Initiative
Dear Community Member,
We are delighted to announce the further expansion and formalization of Chabad’s initiative of providing Glatt Kosher Catering, Supervision, and Kosher services to the Asheville-WNC Jewish Community and its visitors, as an official service of The Chabad House of Asheville.
The Asheville Kashruth Commission, as it has now been named, is dedicated to promoting Kashruth throughout the Asheville-WNC Jewish community and its visitors, through education, research, classes, certification, catering, supervision, and Kosher facility rental.
Some of the services it will include:
v Glatt Kosher Catering and Supervision for local events, businesses, and restaurants
v Glatt Kosher Catering and take-out food for visitors to WNC
v Chabad House Facility Rental for Events and Meetings requiring Kosher Catering
v Local Updates and News from Distributors and Stores regarding Kosher products
v Assistance in House Koshering and answering your Kashruth questions
v A Kosher Community Cookbook
(A joint project of The Asheville Jewish Women’s Circle, and the Asheville Jewish Community.)
v An Online Kosher Information Guide: www.JewishWNC.com/kosher
v Free Kashruth information pamphlets at The Chabad House.
The Asheville Kashruth Commission is brought to the community by Chabad’s Jewish Awareness Program, and in response to the community’s requests for a program of this nature.
If you have any questions, or to find out more information, please feel free to call The Chabad House at (828) 505-0746. We appreciate your input! Please let us know how you think this new initiative can be of assistance to you, or to the community as a whole.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Shaya Susskind
