What is Chabad of Chabad in Asheville and WNC?

We are chicken soup on Friday night. We are the light in a child’s eyes when she reads her first Hebrew word. We are a helping hand to the single mom. We are an address for every teenager in our town. We are a home for young adults at the numerous rehab centers across WNC. We are a learning center for adults who would like to continue their Jewish learning. We are a synagogue for those who are seeking worship and community.

Chabad is a home away from home for every Jew in Asheville and WNC. Chabad is a heart. Chabad heeds the call.  Chabad is dedicated to serving our community - and now we’re asking for your support to help us start the year brighter, together.

Why a High Holidays Appeal? Is it Needed?

Running an operation like our Chabad House requires a major investment of time, energy, and capital. While our Rabbi and Rebbetzin work tirelessly to ensure that no Jew is left behind, the day-to-day expenses of operating a Chabad center can be daunting. Rather than charging membership fees or exorbitant event prices, which could alienate some people, we rely on the generosity of the community that we serve.

How can I help?

You can be a partner in everything we do to benefit the community by contributing to our campaign, and by spreading the word. Maimonides says that every good deed, no matter how small, tips the scale of humanity toward goodness. Today you have the opportunity to see the impact of that deed multiplied many times over.
